The intersection of Greco, sulfur, and human ingenuity.
Mulino Giardino embodies the deep soul of our family: a Cru arising from the meeting point of Tufo’s glorious industrial past and a forward-thinking viticultural vision.
This Greco di Tufo, the latest addition to our single-vineyard collection, bears a name that pays tribute to a place close to our hearts: the site of the historic di Marzo Mining Company, where sulfur milling once took place. Above that memory-laden ground today stands a unique terraced vineyard, capable of transforming the legacy of the past into a contemporary and vibrant elegance.
Choosing Mulino Giardino means immersing yourself in a story shaped by an unrepeatable microclimate, born from terraces overlooking the Sabato River.
4,000 bottles produced—an extremely limited release. This small production concentrates the very essence of our fourth Cru. Mulino Giardino was born from the challenge of revealing yet another piece of the complex Tufo terroir mosaic.
Our rigor remains unchanged: daily, manual management of this “heroic vineyard,” but with a new level of awareness. Here, the Greco grape does not just challenge time; it draws nourishment from a precious soil to offer a sensory profile unparalleled in our range. We never force nature’s hand: the earth gives us only what is perfect, and we safeguard it in these few, highly selected bottles.
Less than one hectare of vines nestled in the woods, with a striking view of the ancient sulfur mines and the Sabato River Valley.
This is our smallest Cru (just 0.8 hectares). Arranged on picturesque terraces between 260 and 300 meters above sea level, it enjoys a South-West exposure that ensures ideal grape ripening.
Before becoming a Greco di Tufo DOCG Riserva, Vigna Laure rests for a full 12 months in the bottle, in strict accordance with production regulations.
Before that, the wine destined to become Riserva spends 9 months on its lees, fermenting at a constant temperature in stainless steel tanks. This “rest” is only a calm facade; under the watchful eye of our cellar masters, the wine develops its complexity and structure, aided by indigenous yeasts carefully selected for this purpose.
The journey begins with the pressing of the Greco clusters to obtain the free-run juice—the finest part of the extraction. Now that you know the story of what happens before Vigna Laure reaches you, you are ready for the “after”: discovering its taste, famous for its vibrant acidic backbone.
At the center of the visual narrative are the ancient sulfur mines that once belonged to the family, featuring the passage of the old steam train.
This is the legendary “Wine Railway,” championed by Senator Donato di Marzo—a symbol of an era when our land began its first commercial ties with Europe. This label does not just dress a bottle; it honors the unbreakable bond between human labor, the richness of the subsoil, and progress.

Given the tiny size of the vineyard and its low yields, availability is extremely limited. This wine is intended for enthusiasts seeking the austerity and salinity that define the purest Greco di Tufo.
