Vinification technique:
The grapes are selected and gently pressed before being fermented using selected yeasts in temperature controlled tanks. The fermentation is at a relatively high temperature and is completed in ten days. We wish to obtain the maximum elegance from our Aglianico from the Taurasi area. The wine is matured in French oak barrique for 12 months. The finished wine is bottled with light filtration and remains in bottle for at least 1 years before being released to the market.

Sensorial description:
A profound, full bodied red wine, deep ruby with inviting aromas of ripe wild fruit which develops more spicy characteristics as the wine opens up.
Fine tannins give a velvety, rich texture, plum, prune and black cherry fruit. The influence of the oak is discreet and subtly enhances the natural aromas of the wine.

Food pairings:
Game stew, seasoned cheeses, dishes with wild mushrooms or any dish with strong and intense flavours.

Serving temperature: 16 – 18° C

Peculiarity:
First Docg of Southern Italy, Taurasi is the flagship wine of the Campania reds.
For this wine, Aglianico is capable of creating wines of extraordinary longevity, capable of resisting intact even for decades.
For our Taurasi Docg we use grapes that come from the territories of Luogosano and Montemarano, whose soils have a limestone matrix and, on the surface, volcanic ash from the Plinian eruptions of Vesuvius.
